For most of us, these past few months of warm weather have been an enormous relief. Seeing friends and family, enjoying local restaurants, and the simple joy of smiling at one another again has been a welcome change.

But for many of us, mask mandates are returning as we head into the fall. Rising rates of the Delta variant have businesses nervous and schools bracing for possible problems.

Whether you're a small business owner or a consumer, we encourage you to be aware of any new guidelines your state may issue.

Consider the following tips:

  • Bring your mask anyway — Even if you don’t have regulations yet, take your mask. Many businesses have their own rules to keep owners and staff safe, and it never hurts to be respectful.
  • Check your state website — The local news isn’t always up to speed. Check your local state’s website, particularly the health department, for updated guidelines.
  • Vacation with caution — No one is saying you should cancel your trip. But wear masks indoors and be cautious around large groups.

Nobody wants to wear masks or go through lockdown again. But a little bit of caution could prevent a lot of harm down the road.

Best of luck, and let us know if you have insurance questions!
